Melissa Erdmann, FPN, APRN, RN
Melissa Erdmann is a family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive care for individuals and families. She has been practicing family medicine as a nurse practitioner for almost 7 years. Born and raised in Barnesville, MN, Melissa has remained a local girl. She completed her undergraduate education at University of North Dakota with a Bachelors degree of nursing in 1999 and then went on to obtain her Masters degree in Nursing through NDSU in 2004 graduating from both schools with honors. As a RN, she worked in the NICU, pediatrics, PICU and OB in the clinic. Currently practicing as a nurse practitioner, Melissa focuses on family medicine providing care from birth all through the life spectrum, including some prenatal care.
According to Melissa, “Being a nurse practitioner is the best job in the world, I love what I do and getting to know my patients. The joy of family medicine is providing care to the individual and also the extended family members and friends!”
A nurse practitioner is a provider who manages the healthcare needs of all patients, which includes well child exams, physical exams, ill or sick visits, medication consultations, DOT physicals, laboratory results, imaging results and any other medical services. According to Melissa, a Nurse Practitioner is best described as a care provider who treats like a physician but with a nurse’s heart.
When Melissa is not caring for her patients, she is enjoying time with her husband and 2 wonderful children. In her spare time, she enjoys her children’s activities, swim meets, shopping, spending time with friends and family, photography and scrapbooking.
Cheryl Kemmer, RN
Cheryl comes to Stellar Healthcare and brings great experience as a licensed practical nurse. She has been practicing as a LPN for over thirty years and brings a seasoned, well rounded gamut of experience. She has had pediatric and family practice experience. Cheryl enjoys working with all patients, especially family and pediatrics. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, flowers, family and friends.
Beverly Gibson, FNP
Beverly Gibson is a family nurse practitioner who strives to offer high-quality, cost-effective,
patient-centered health care by blending clinical expertise with diagnosis and treatment of
acute and chronic health conditions with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health
management. She has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner for over three years.
The youngest of four girls, Beverly was born and raised in Northwood, ND. She attended the
University of North Dakota and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1995
and Bachelors degree in Nursing in 1999. She worked as a registered nurse in Mesa, AZ, in
pediatrics/post-partum families unit after graduation and moved back to Grand Forks, ND,
to be closer to her family and friends. In Grand Forks, she worked as a pediatric nurse on the
pediatric unit/NICU and as a circulating nurse in the operating room. Beverly went back to
UND for her Masters degree in Nursing in 2006, graduating with honors in 2008. She is board
certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). As a nurse practitioner, she
has provided acute and chronic care to migrant farm laborers in Grafton, ND, and Moorhead,
MN. She also worked in an urgent care setting in Grand Forks and most recently worked as an
examiner performing legal physical examinations for veterans and service members claiming
service-connected disabilities.
According to Beverly, “Working as a family nurse practitioner is challenging and rewarding. I am
excited to join the Stellar Healthcare team and look forward to getting to know patients and
their families.”
Beverly enjoys spending spare time with her husband and two boys, ages 2 and 9. She enjoys
online scrapbooking and flower gardening.
