I originally started my healthcare journey as a CNA. I attended Dakota College at Bottineau for my LPN degree and later for my RN, rounding out with BSN from Minot State University. I obtained my master’s degree from University of Cincinnati. I have 10+ years as a nurse and worked various roles including geriatrics, mental health and orthopedic surgery.
I became a family nurse practitioner because I saw a need for compassionate healthcare providers. I have a passion for education and a strong part of the care I provide revolves around providing people with the information they need to actively participate in their healthcare. Additionally, family practice is unique in that we can work with the entire family, from kiddos to grandparents. What could possibly be better?!
Stellar Healthcare has the feel of a rural clinic in the city, where we can spend adequate time with the patients, get to know them and their families, and be able to take the time to listen to them and their concerns. Putting the patient first is the main priority, so that we can provide them with the best care possible. I feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to spend my days in this amazing environment.
I was born and raised in North Dakota. I have a wonderfully supportive husband, Cody, and two beautiful children, Kierstin and Kaleb. In my free time I like to read non-fiction, attend my kiddo’s activities, spend time at church and with family, travel, hike, and this last summer I took up canoeing which has been so much fun! I have not tipped a canoe yet!
